Wednesday (aka: Hump Day, as some DO say).....What a grand day in deed that the Lord has made. Always a warm fuzzy feeling when you know the weekend is nearing and Thursday night lesson planning night is almost upon us. Now perhaps one would be curiuos why I look forward to an evening full of hours upon hours of lesson planning my little behind off?? Simply put...Subway veggie delight!!!! Awe where would this little island be without our Subways?! It's really the only place where fresh vegetables are an option. Plus look at "Darrel" or "Paul", or whatever that man's name was that made Subway the fast food, health food pits-stop it is today!!!! Alas I likey my Subway and therefore look forward to sitting on my behind for 5 hours as a slave over what to do in Science, Phonics, Math, Social Studies, English, Reading, Writing, Bible, Spelling, and Centers. Awe a teacher's work is never done :)
My students are in charge of chapel one week from today which will be interesting to say the least. This means that my 24 five and six year olds and myself are responsible for a chapel performance of sorts in front of REAL peoples. Yes fun times indeed. I think we'll be singing a wee song while hopefully stressing the importance of watching what you listen to and see. "oh be careful little ears what you hear. oh be careful little ears what you hear. for the lord up above, is looking down with love. oh be careful little ears what you hear." Yup that should take up about 27 seconds anyway...now only 20 minutes left to go :)
It's steaming hot today! Humid, humid, humid! Now there is a word that I am not fond of in the slightest but yet feel as if it's the perfect vocabulary choice to describe such humidity...but alas I shall hold my tongue :) Let me just say it's hot and sticky. Was going to go for a little boardwalk walk but then thought...hey that takes energy which is something I'm lacking so why bother?! And then I felt content in my decision :)
Thanks for the prayers...I'm in much need this year. I think the answer to my prayers is prayer itself. I also appreciate the prayers for our secretary Ann...who did have a baby girl who was less than 3 lbs a couple of days ago. The baby is doing well but has a long road ahead. They gave her a Carolinian name meaning "miracle" :) Sweet as sugar in deed.
Shall write more soon. luv and hugs (unless you're uncomfortable..high fives in exchange)
