School's officially OVER!!!! Mixed feelings in deed as I had to say a final good-bye to my students from this year and last. Hard to comprehend how I will never see these sweet faces in person EVER again! So strange to think faces seen everyday will become just a memory and eventually perhaps not even that. Sad ): I do love these kids and will miss them immensely...of course some more than others :) The last day of school included cleaning our filthy room and then a birthday party with TWO cakes mind you for all of our summer birthdays and previous birthdays missed and then a little movie. It was so nice just relaxing and enjoying them one last time.
*** Now I know I am not supposed to have favorites but is that really realistic? This is Hae Mil...the sweetest and one of the most gentle spirits in my classroom. I will miss her warm heart and her daily hugs and "I love you so, so, so, so, so, so, so, so much" daily quotes. I was truly blessed to have her in my classroom.
*** Another cutie named Kirill. Kirill is half Russian and is only five years old! He is the sweetest, most soft spoken and well mannered child I have ever met! Any time he thought he had possibly disobeyed one of our classroom rules he would whisper in my ear how terribly sorry he was for making me disappointed. Be still my heart :) I will miss his innocense!
I remain in shock as to how fast this year went! I have never experienced such a year as this. Being that my class was more difficult this year I never would have expected it to fly by as it did. I now have only TWO more days left here on Saipan. So many final farewells left and so many already said. How sad and yet exciting for things to come. Hopefully I'll be reunited with some in the near future. Maui is a great vacation spot afterall wink-wink.
